A donation to the CPC Foothills EDA is a donation to the grassroots of the Conservative Party of Canada. We are extremely grateful for each and every donation that we receive. Whether a contribution of $5 or $1,750  you can be confident that your donation will go towards grassroots efforts in the Foothills and across Canada.

Please note: Canadian citizens or permanent residents may also donate a separate amount up to $1750 to the National Party in addition contributions to a combination of Conservative riding associations, candidates and nomination contestants.
Important Information to Consider
      1. Below are the 2025 limits for contributions to political entities. Contributions may qualify the donor for a tax credit on the federal income tax return as illustrated in the table below. Limits on Contributions – 2025

        Notes:
        • Only individuals who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents can make contributions.
        • The contribution limits apply to total contributions, the unpaid balance of loans made during the contribution period, and the amount of any loan guarantees made during the contribution period that an individual is still liable for. The sum of these three amounts cannot exceed the contribution limit at any time during the relevant contribution period.
        • A nomination contestant is permitted to give an additional $1,000 in total per contest in contributions, loans and loan guarantees to their own campaign.
        • A candidate is permitted to give a total of $5,000 in contributions, loans and loan guarantees to their campaign. A candidate is also permitted to give an additional $1,750* in total per year in contributions, loans and loan guarantees to other candidates, registered associations and nomination contestants of each party. (This includes contributions to the registered association in the candidate’s electoral district and contributions to the candidate’s own nomination campaign.)
        • A leadership contestant is permitted to give a total of $25,000 in contributions, loans and loan guarantees to their campaign. A leadership contestant is also permitted to give an additional $1,750* in total per year in contributions, loans and loan guarantees to other leadership contestants.
        * The limits increase by $25 on January 1 in each subsequent year.
      2. Regular monthly donations charged to a personal credit card are a manageable way to make contributions throughout the year. Just enter the monthly amount to be given to Foothills Conservative Association using the Payment form on the following page. Enter the amount in the topmost box above the heading Custom Amount and check the box “Make this donation Monthly.”
      3. Consider becoming a 400 Club member.
      4. 4. If it is necessary to cancel your monthly donation payments, then there is a provision for cancellation on the linked Payment form.
      5. Cash contributions in excess of $20 cannot be accepted.
      6. Making contribution by personal cheque should be mailed to the address below. Please note that a donation by cheque must be received before December 31st. Any cheque received after that date will be treated as a contribution in the following year.

      7. Tax receipts can only be issued in the name of the contributor. The contributor is considered to be the holder of the credit card or the signatory on a personal cheque.
      8. The Foothills Conservative Association will issue an official tax receipt.
      9. Contributions from corporations, labour unions or associations and unincorporated associations are prohibited.
      10. If you are less than $1,750 then consider topping up your 2025 donations with the incremental amount. Click on the DONATE button below and use the Custom Amount for the one time payment.
